Vegas Freestyle Chess Grandslam - All Timezones
The Freestyle Chess Grand Slam arrives in Las Vegas this July, with Magnus Carlsen leading the charge after dominant victories in Paris and Karlsruhe.
In Paris, he edged out Hikaru Nakamura 1.5–0.5 in the final, and in Karlsruhe, he stunned the field with a perfect 9/9.
Now, 16 elite players—including Fabiano Caruana and rising talents from earlier legs—enter a high-stakes knockout at the Wynn Las Vegas, marking the first U.S. stage of this year’s tour. With creativity rewarded over memorization, the Chess960 format promises unpredictable matchups and bold opening play.
The tournament will take place between July 16th-July 20th, and below are the start times for the tournament in all major time zones.
